Based in Hickory NC, Table Rock Aviation offers rental of our SportCub (tailwheel) plane. Our SportCub plane is a clean sheet redesign of the 1930’s J-3 Cub by CubCrafters Inc. in Yakima, WA. If you have flown a J-3 Cub you will love how they have improved the SportCub. Solo flight in our tailwheel is accomplished from the front seat only and can be done with all doors and windows open should one desire. There is nothing like flying on an early Spring or Summer morning to smell the grass tickling underneath the rubber tires of the tailwheel as you settle onto one of the local grass strips. The tailwheel aircraft is equipped with GPS, Transponder, and Comm radios for navigation and communication. Night flying in Table Rock Aviation's tailwheel is permissible for private pilots that receive a night checkout. The Cub may be the slowest airplane on the field but it ranks the highest in the low and slow fun factor.

Flight Cruise Speeds are between 115 to 130 mph allowing this airplane to cover distances quickly and efficiently making it an excellent cross country aircraft. The Remos' cockpit is wide and roomy at 46 inches across at the shoulders. The Remos is equipped with the latest in glass-panel technology and will easily satisfy the pilot who wishes to train for their instrument pilot certificate.
